WATERFORD – Bear Mountain Inn will present the Western Maine Music Fest: A Celebration of Women in Music from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at the inn. Performing will be six women singers and songwriters. Featured will be Maine’s Carol Noonan, Leah Wolfsong, Kate Schrock, and New England’s Kathryn Priestley, Marcy Lang and Big Blue Sky. The purpose is to promote Maine and New England’s most talented women musicians. Admission is $15, cash only. Bring blankets or chairs for seating. Bean supper

OTISFIELD – A baked bean supper will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Otisfield Community Hall, Route 121. Included will be beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, corn bread, desserts and coffee or lemonade. Proceeds benefit the Town of Otisfield Scholarship Fund.
