CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Ruby Chase DeCosta, 97, died Thursday, Aug. 26, at Williamsburg Healthcare Crawfordsville, Ind.

A former Buckfield resident, she was born in Hodgdon, and graduated from high school in Houlton.

She was married to the Rev. William B. Chase, and John DeCosta, both deceased.

She is survived by a brother, Philip J. Boyne, of California; a daughter, Mary Chase Howe of rural New Ross, Ind.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Boyne.
