LEWISTON – Muriel “Bunny” Saucier, 82, of Auburn, passed away Saturday night, Aug. 28, at Clover Health Care after several years of suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born on October 12, 1921, the daughter of Odile and Henry Dube.

She was educated in Lewiston schools and worked in area shoe shops, retiring from Falcon Shoe in 1983.

She was an avid bowler, loved playing cards, and loved to travel – especially to Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

For many years, she knitted and donated mittens to the children at Longley School and was called “The Angel of Mittens.”

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly by all.

She is survived by her brother, Gerry Dube and his wife, Jackie, of Sabattus; a son, Donald Saucier and his wife, Susan, of Brunswick; daughters, Lorraine and husband, Dick Bickford, of Palm Bay, Fla., Shirley and her husband, Rick, of Brunswick, Susan and her husband, Paul Ruel, of Wales; grandchildren, Gregory Bickford and his wife, Julie, of Cocoa, Fla., Wendy Landry, of Topsham, Christopher Bickford, of Vrawfordville, Fla., Derek and Jon Saucier, both of Brunswick, and two grandsons, Owen and Cameron Landry, of Topsham.

She was predeaseased by two sons, Larry and Jimmy; and five sisters and three brothers.
