WEST PARIS – A “Singspiration” service was held at the West Paris Baptist Church recently with guests from several other area churches attending.

Making music were Maurice Veatch and Mary Standard, duet on piano and organ; Verna Lynch, vocal solo; Dot Canwell, whistling accompanied by Yvonne Nowlin on guitar; piano solo, Mary Standard; vocal duet, Dot Canwell and Bertha DeHaas, accompanied by Yvonne Nowlin; reading of original poem, “Our Home,” by Bertha DeHaas accompanied by Mary Standard on the organ.

The program was interspersed with hymns chosen by members of the congregation. At the close of the service, participants adjourned to the dining room for a buffet topped with watermelon.
