LEWISTON – Cynthia “Cindy” Scribner, 42, of Upton, died Aug. 29, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
Born in Hartford, Conn., March 18, 1962, the daughter of Clayton J. and Belmira (Joaquin) Thompson, she was educated in Connecticut schools and graduated from Tantasqua High School in Sturbridge, Mass.
“Cindy” was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 369 of Memphis, Tenn., and had worked as a heavy equipment operator.
She married Jeff Scribner on Sept. 30, 1989. She was an avid animal lover and she enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, motorcycling and flying.
She is survived by her mother, of Errol, N.H.; her father, of Upton; her husband, of Upton; one brother, Dennis Wood, of Augusta; and three sisters, Doreen Vlk, of Sturbridge, Mass., Lucy Nelson, of Upton and Dianne Casko, of Fisk Hill, Mass.
