PHILLIPS – A foul-shooting contest, sponsored by the New ZONE Coalition for the Old Gym Renovation, was held at the Phillips Old Gym.

Thirteen participated in the age 12 and under group and 25 in the 13 and over group. But many more were on hand to visit and watch the action.

The shoot-off at the end was the icing on the cake. Greg Keating of Phillips and Eric Taylor of Oakland shot for the tie-breaker. Each had accomplished 14/25. In the first tie-breaker round, each scored 11/20.

The final tie-breaker saw Keating with 6/10 and Taylor winning once he hit no. 7. In the age 12 and under category, Luke Paul of Phillips won with 16/25.
