PORTLAND – Danielle Ray Landry and Myranda Fern Landry, both of Lisbon, and Christine Elaine Sprague of Minot will participate in the National 2004 Miss Pre-Teen Portland pageant Sunday, Sept. 5.

Selections were announced recently after applications had been reviewed and contestants interviewed by Patty Neidert, this year’s Portland pageant coordinator. Contestants hope to win more than $20,000 in scholarships, prizes and specialty gifts.

Girls seeking the title will compete in modeling routines and will display personality and interviewing skills before a judging panel.

The winner will represent Portland and the surrounding communities at the Cities of American National Competition in Orlando, Fla. More than $60,000 in prizes and awards will be presented.

Community businesses, organizations and private individuals will assist contestants financially by becoming an official sponsor. Each contestant will receive training, rehearsal and financial support throught the sponsorship.
