BOSTON – Patrick Edward McCall, 20, of Wilton, died Tuesday evening, Aug. 24, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Born in Sanford, Feb. 9, 1984, a son of William H. and Diana (Free) McCall III, he received his education in Sanford, Old Orchard and Wilton schools and also attended Mt. Blue High School in Farmington.

He loved playing baseball and played for the Wilton Bears for two years. He enjoyed fishing but was known for always throwing them back.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion of Maine, a past member of the Knights of Columbus Squire of Jay and a member of the Casco Fire Department, where he received the Junior Firefighter of the Year Award in 2002. He also received numerous awards from the Amvets, VFW, Knights of Columbus, Sons of American Legion and the American Legion.

He is survived by his parents, of Wilton; brothers, William H. McCall V, of Lewiston, Michael J. McCall, of Wilton and Richard McCall, of Philadelphia, Pa.; two uncles, Morris J. Free, of Manchester, Pa., and Raymond McCall, of Sanford; a niece, Adria McCall, of Lewiston; and many cousins and friends.
