Did you get a chance to see the balloons go off during the festival? What a great idea for a place like Lewiston and Auburn.
Did you see the Octopus? He even had his own music. How about that Big Stump? It sure took a lot to put that piece of wood in the air.
It was a great time for me, and I felt like a kid in a candy store. One thing I noticed that I wanted to say at the time, but I will address now, not about cars or trash or any other physical things around. The saddest thing in the whole festival was the children I saw trying to get their parents’ attention while they talked to a friend. Parents only have today to make a great day for their children.
There’s no promise for tomorrow. Take time and hold them. Look at them. Give them your undivided attention.
Hold those kids, listen, watch, give total time to those kids’ memories. Don’t be like me and find out too late you blew the job of being a good parent.
Balloons are great. They fly full of hot air, but the pilots must tend to them while in the air. It is so in a child’s life. Parents must tend to these precious little people.
