LEWISTON – The Lewiston Senior Citizens will open their fall season at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at a meeting at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center. Marisha (Marie) Jakubski will be the guest speaker. She will discuss the Scotia Prince.

Members are asked to attend as several items will be ratified.

Bingo will start on Sept. 13 at the American Legion Hall, Washington Street, Auburn, not Sept. 6 as previously announced.

The recent Fun Day was successful. More than 150 attended the event that honored the armed forces. Recently retired Air Force Sgt. Claire Grenier, just home from 24 years in the service, most recently in Turkey, served as mistress of ceremonies. Bert Dutil, of the Franco-American Veterans, also addressed the group.

Congressman Mike Michaud expressed his thanks to the men and women in the service as did State Sen. Peggy Rotundo.
