“God’s Relentless Pursuit: Discovering His Heart for Humanity,” by Phil Strout; Vineyard Publishing; paperback; 170 pages plus a small group discussion guide, $14.95
Lewiston native Phil Strout, a missionary and church planter in Brazil and Chile, recently released his first book titled “God’s Relentless Pursuit: Discovering His Heart for Humanity.” The book takes a close look at God’s heart for mankind. Through narratives and biblical examples, Strout takes the reader on a journey to recognize God at work and to learn how to participate in what God is doing.
Strout and his wife, Janet, who both grew up in southern Maine, pastor the Lewiston Vineyard and Christian Fellowship, a growing church which also has a school. Strout serves as the regional overseer for the East Coast in the Association of Vineyard Churches. He also helped develop the Vineyard movement’s mission partnership program.
In “God’s Relentless Pursuit,” Strout tells the story of how God connected with him while he was living in the Lewiston area as a teenager. Strout shares some of his experiences while working in the mission field and chronicles his survival of a motorcycle accident from which he walked away without a scratch.
“God’s Relentless Pursuit: Discovering His Heart for Humanity” is available online at amazon.com and at local bookstores.
