SOUTHPORT – The wedding of Emily Cannan and Michael Scholl was held at noon on July 3 at the Church of All Saints By-the-Sea. The Rev. Kit Sherill officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Scholl is the daughter of Elaine Toutain of Lewiston and Donald Cannan of Minot. Mr. Scholl is the son of George and Denise Scholl of Spofford, N.H.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown and carried a bouquet of starburst lilies, white roses and red Calla lilies.

The two maids of honor were Maria Sorrento and Christa Brockway, friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Chretien, sister of the bridegroom, Kelsey Bean, cousin of the bride, and Kelli Bennett, friend of the bride.

Serving as best men were friends Ryan Ford and Peter Fifield. Ushers were Jim Cannan, brother of the bride, and friends Matt Lewis and David Murphy.

A reception followed at the Ocean Gate Inn in Southport. The couple honeymooned in Belize and they are residing in Bloomsfield, Conn.

The bride is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and is currently a fourth-year student of dentistry at the University of Connecticut.

The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and is employed at Aetna Insurance in Middletown, Conn.
