AUBURN – Several new hires and promotions are announced by Harriman Associates, as well as a new interior design studio.

“We’re very pleased to add Julie Brown and Rebecca Ames,” said President Ed Cormier.

Brown is the studio’s lead interior designer. A resident of Scarborough, her expertise provides clients with all aspects of interior design including finishes, furnishings, programming, lighting, custom millwork, schematic designs, and space and floor plans.

She is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification and licensed by the State of Maine as a Professional Interior Designer. She holds a bachelor degree in interior design from Louisiana State University.

Ames is experienced in developing interior 3D computer renderings and designing interior finishes and details for retirement facilities, schools, offices and industrial and commercial architecture. She is attending the Boston Architectural Center for Interior Design.

Other new hires include Kristofor R. McAlpine and Katherine S. Flint.

McAlpine designs power, lighting, data and fire alarm systems. He holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering technology from the University of Maine, Orono, and an associate’s degree in electrical power from Eastern Maine Technical College.

McAlpine resides in Yarmouth.

Flint is an administrative assistant in the Auburn office. She has more than 15 years’ experience in providing all aspects of administrative support to active office environments.

Flint, a graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School, resides in Mechanic Falls with her husband, Kenneth, and children Lindsey and Thomas. Also announced is the promotion of Jaculin Watkins and Daniel E. Robbins.

Watkins assumes the position of office operations manager. She oversees clerical and project administrative activities; plans, develops and implements technology to support administration, accounting, human resources and marketing processes; and provides technical guidance to administrative staff. She also serves as Harriman Associates’ wellness coordinator. She is a resident of Otisfield where she lives with her husband and two children.

Robbins has been named associate of Harriman Associates.

“This promotion recognizes the outstanding contributions that Dan has made to our clients. He is committed to developing the long-term relationships that allow our firm to understand and respond fully to our clients’ needs and concerns,” Cormier said.

He joined Harriman Associates in 1975. He is a graduate of the Wentworth College in Boston, Mass., with a bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering. As a senior job captain, Robbins is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the project teams contract documentation. He resides in North Auburn with his wife, Denise.
