SOUTH PARIS – Irene Pothier (Theriault) Fortier, 95, of South Paris, formerly of Sumner and Chelsea, Mass., died Friday, Sept. 3, at the Market Square Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Meteghan Center, Nova Scotia, on Jan. 15, 1908.
She was the beloved wife of the late Omar J. Pothier and Rosaire Fortier, and the devoted mother of the late Kenneth Pothier of Lexington, Mass., Paul Pothier of Salisbury, Mass., Harold Pothier of Simpsonville, S.C., Arnold Pothier of Prince Edward Island, Can., Marilyn Robichaud of Meteghan, Nova Scotia, Elizabeth Dasch of Rowley, Mass., June Paradis of Sumner, Yvonne Dawicki of Sumner, Janet Clark of Sumner, and Mary Jasniewski of Sumner.
She is also survived by two brothers, Leo and Camille Theriault, of Nova Scotia; 27 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
