LEWISTON – The Central Maine Shockers look to extend their perfect record to 6-0 Monday when they entertain the Penobscot Seadragons.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Lewiston Athletic Park (LAP), located behind Lewiston Middle School. The game was originally scheduled two weeks ago, but rain washed out the contest between the two Maine rivals.

Monday’s game is the Shocker’s final home contest of the regular season.

This is the second time the two teams have met. Penobscot (1-3) dropped a 27-7 decision to the Shockers early last month.

The Shockers are coming off a 43-8 thrashing of the Notre Dame Cobras last weekend. Central Maine’s defense scored three touchdowns – Nate Thibideau and Scott Poirier returned fumbles for touchdowns while Zach Stewart ran back an interception 51 yards for another score.

Central Maine is one of two unbeaten teams in the A Division of the New England Football League, which is comprised of three levels of semi-pro teams. The Hampton Hurricanes (4-0) are a half game behind Central Maine (5-0) in the standings.

Following a bye week, the Shockers finish the season with a pair of difficult road games – at Southern Rhode Island Raptors and the showdown at Hampton.
