John Vitagliano, director of consumer research for Hannaford, will give the keynote address. He will speak on “The Business of Food: Where Agriculture Meets the Consumer.” Dr. Lavon Bartel, director and dean of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, will share her perspectives on the “State of Extension in Maine.”

The meeting will be followed by a dessert social using the entries of the pie bake-off contest. All recipes will become part of a Cooperative Extension Cookbook.
