AUBURN – Virginia Blanche Marshall, 70, of Auburn died Sunday evening, Sept. 5, at Clover Manor Nursing Facility following a long illness, with her family at her side.

She was born in New Gloucester on June 28, 1934, the daughter of Randall and Nellie (Walker) May.

Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Janice Chabot and her fianc, George Camire Jr., of Poland, Irene Perkins and her husband, Robert, of Winthrop, Roger G. Champagne Jr. and his wife, Sally, of Monmouth and Sandra Smith and her husband, Stephen, of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Melissa Whitney, Robin Berry, Donald Poulin II, Chuck Stewart, Rachel L. McCabe, Christina Champagne, Steven Poulin, Sarah L. Smith, Kristi Logan and Justin Stewart; her great-grandchildren, Michell Harris, Tyler Whitney, Keisha Whitney and Trinity McCabe; her sister, Lillian Edwards; and her brother, Robert May.

She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Marshall on Feb. 13, 1999, her sisters, Gloria Wilson and Vesa Breton, and her brother, Randall May Jr.
