AUBURN – September is Auburn Public Library Card Sign-Up Month. From 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, children from grades two through six are invited to decorate a canvas book bag with a special zippered interior pocket just big enough for a library card.

Children and families who are residents of Auburn or Lewiston are encouraged to register for a free library card that week or any week.

The workshop, to be held in the Kids’ Space in the library’s new temporary location at the Auburn Mall, will be led by Sara Spellman, young library volunteer. She will end the workshop with a story time.
