MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) – A 61-year-old Lyndonville man’s body was discovered Sunday at a rest area on a rural stretch of highway in the Northeast Kingdom.

An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of Donald Pearsons’ death, state police said in a news release.

Details of where Pearsons’ body was discovered were not immediately disclosed. State police only said it was discovered at the rest area on Vermont Route 16 between Glover and Greensboro.

The investigation was continuing, police said.
