LEWISTON – The Rosary Sodality of St. Patrick’s Church will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Recitation of the Rosary in the chapel will be followed by a meeting in Monsignor Gleason Hall. Guest speaker David J. Gudas will talk on how he became interested in Lewiston’s history and origins. The evening will end with coffee and desserts. All women of the parish are invited to attend and join the sodality.

Gudas is the personal computer coordinator for the city of Lewiston. Before that he was employed by the Department of Human Services as an agent in support enforcement. He held the position of patrol officer, later youth officer for the Lewiston Police Department and retired from the department in 1988, having completed 22 years of service.

He received his education at the University of Rhode Island, Maine Criminal Justice Academy and Central Maine Technical College. Gudas has worked for the city of Lewiston for 27 years in different capacities and has read many stories, seen many photos and observed many artifacts. In this capacity, he became interested in Lewiston’s history and origins.
