WILTON – The Gail Saviello Memorial Tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Academy Hill School courts and several surrounding courts. Final matches will be held at approximately 2 p.m. Rain date is 11 a.m. Sept. 19.

Tennis enthusiasts, from beginner to expert, are invited to enter the tennis scrambles tournament. Individuals are invited to sign up. Pairings will be made in order to keep all teams fairly even. Eight-game professional sets will be played.

The tournament raises money for the Academy Hill courts’ upkeep and for the Wilton Public Library. Each player is asked to make a donation of $15, payable on arrival. Lunch and snacks will be provided by the Tyngtown Club, which is sponsoring the event.

People may register by calling Mary Ryan at 645-4878. Those who are unable to play but would like to make a donation are asked to make checks payable to the Tyngtown Club and mail them to Mary Ryan, P.O. Box 134, Wilton, ME 04294.
