KINGFIELD – Detective David St. Laurent of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department will be interviewing two suspects in three thefts that occurred over Labor Day weekend, according to deputy Rick Billian.
A resident of Mill Road in Kingfield reported that she discovered a total of $125 cash missing from her purse in three separate incidents over the weekend and believed she knew the identity of the thieves.
The woman provided child care for two Kingfield residents who came to her home Saturday to pick up some of the children’s items, including a playpen. After their departure, the woman discovered $50 missing from her purse. When she arrived home after a day away Sunday, the woman discovered another $25 missing. She said she had left her home unlocked while she was gone between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. According the report, later that evening, the pair returned to retrieve another item that had been left behind. Again, when they left, the resident found another $50 gone.
Billian said St. Laurent will be conducting interviews and investigating the events.
