The Oxford County Democrats, in collaboration with the Bridgton and Jay Democratic Committees, completed the start-up of local field offices during the week of Sept. 6.

Offices are open at 196 Walkers Mills Road in Bethel, 49 Main St. in Bridgton, 1 Turner St. in Buckfield, 77 Main St. in Mexico, 273 Main St. in Norway, and 150 Main St. in Jay.

Office hours vary, with Mexico and Norway offices open weekdays and Saturdays, and the remaining offices still establishing hours.

Coordinators for the offices include Julie McDonald and Lew Irish in Mexico at 369-0020, Rosita Friel in Buckfield at 336-2511, Hilary Ware in Norway at 729-2504, Barbra Barrett in Bethel at 824-4814, Paul Gilbert and Barbara Cook in Jay at 897-4535, and Jane Campino in Bridgton at 647-8572. All offices have a supply of Kerry and Michaud campaign materials, as well as materials for local candidates. All offices welcome volunteers.

The Democrats’ Oxford County Fair booth will be staffed by local volunteers from Sept. 15 to 18. Myra Bethel of Fryeburg has been named coordinator for the Fryeburg Fair booth scheduling. Volunteers interested in helping staff the booth during the Oct. 3-10 fair may contact her.
