PARIS – Cub Scout Pack 130 will hold a signup night from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at the First Congregational Church in South Paris.
Scouting offers opportunities for the boys to learn BB, archery, swimming, crafts, outdoor skills, woodworking, community involvement and social skills.

Bridge play
NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge began the fall season on Sept. 10. The winners for the morning session were: North-South, first, Les Buzzell and Misha Tomic; second, Pat Quinn and Georgette Jewell; tied for third, Anna Cormier and Woodrow Mercier and Pete Cummings and Dick Allen.
East West, first, Bill Adams and Jim Flanagan; second, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; third, Mimi Bell and Arlen Riis. Placing were Paul and Barbara Beegel.
Duplicate bridge is played at 9 a.m. every Friday at the Fare Share Food Coop, 445 Main St. Refreshments are served and a partner is guaranteed. Parking and entrance are behind the building. Those interested should call Mimi Bell at 743-8081.
