Health Insurance Grant
RAYMOND, N.H. (AP) – A New Hampshire group is using a $1.7 million federal grant to train translators and pay doctors to treat more uninsured patients.
The three-year grant to Raymond-based Community Health Access Network will start with an $800,000 budget next year. The Health Access Network will then distribute the money to other organizations that will train and recruit translators and doctors who offer services for free.
The programs will focus on Manchester and Nashua, where immigrant populations are on the rise.
