LISBON – Mountain Valley’s Ed Booker netted a pair of goals to carry the Falcons to a 5-2 win against Lisbon in an MVC boys’ basketball game Tuesday.

Also scoring for Mountain Valley (2-2) were DJ Gerrish, Byron Glaus and Jeremy Chiles. Dan Gil-Romero and Nate Osmond scored the only goals for Lisbon (0-4).

Leavitt 4, Morse 0

TURNER – Zack Burgess scored a hat trick Tuesday to lead Leavitt to a 4-0 victory over Morse in KVAC soccer action.

Jeff Truchon also scored for the Hornets (2-0-1) to complete the scoring.

Brian Leighton made seven saves in net to notch the win.

Kevin Hutchinson turned away seven shots in net for the Shipbuilders (1-3), but received no support from the offense.

Buckfield 1, Rangeley 1

RANGELEY – Justin Dodge scored on a direct kick in the second half to lift Buckfield to a 1-1 tie with Rangeley in a EWC boys’ soccer matchup Tuesday.

Andy Cerato made 13 saves in net for the Bucks (1-1-1).

Tyler Philbrick put the Lakers (2-1-1) on the board in the first half when he scored on a penalty kick, while Kent Madeira turned away 16 shots in net.

Mt. Ararat 2, Oxf. Hills 0

SOUTH PARIS – Mt. Ararat’s Tyler Simpson scored both goals unassisted to lead the Eagles to a 2-0 victory against Oxford Hills.

Ryan Vermette made three stops and got the shutout for Mt. Ararat (3-0-1).

David LaRoach had nine saves for the Vikings (1-2).

Mt. Blue 2, Waterville 2

WATERVILLE – Mt. Blue and Waterville drew to a 2-2 tie in overtime in what proved to be an evenly matched soccer game Tuesday afternoon.

Joe French tallied two goals for the Mt. Blue (1-2-1) effort, while Blake Jordan netted both of Waterville’s (3-0-1) goals.
