HEBRON – Tauno “Willie” Wilson, 68, of Hebron, died Monday, Sept. 13, at his home.

Born in Lewiston, Nov. 21, 1935, the son of Carl and Alma Romppanen Wilson, he attended schools in Hebron and Mechanic Falls.

He married Lorrie Hemingway Parlin on July 13, 2002. Mr. Wilson owned and operated a logging business with his sons for many years. He was also a race car driver at Oxford Plains Speedway from 1951 to 1979. His son, Alan Wilson took over the family racing when his father retired. Mr. Wilson lived in Hebron for almost his entire life.

He is survived by his wife, Lorrie, of Hebron; his sons, David and his wife, Donna, of Orlando, Fla., Leon Wilson, of Oxford and Alan Wilson, of Hebron; daughters, Joyce Grover and her husband, Bill, of Topsham and Jennifer Fish and her husband, Tom, of Lisbon Falls; stepson, Gerald Parlin, of Norway; stepdaughters, Maylynn Atallah and her husband, Gabe, of Reading, Mass., Jolene Hix and her husband, Brad, of Hebron and Dorrie Coffin and her husband, Alan, of Oxford; a sister, Helen Newell, of Oxford; 11 grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
