FARMINGTON – Lydia G. Hamlin died peacefully Aug. 24, at her home at the Pierce House.

Born in Temple, Sept. 27, 1909, to Clarence A. and Grace J. McCully, she was a graduate of Farmington High School and Farmington State Normal School, Class of 1931.

She married Norris B. Hamlin on Oct. 4, 1935, and he passed away March 22, 1995. They lived in New York state and Massachusetts, for many years, before returning to Maine.

Mrs. Hamlin enjoyed being with her many friends and relatives and she really enjoyed exercising at the UMF Fitness Center. She was an avid ham radio operator and also a seamstress.

She is survived by cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Helen and Carolyn McCully.
