On Sept. 11, 2001, America was hit by the strongest terrorist attack of its history.
Since that day, President Bush has devoted himself and his administration to eliminating terrorism and the rogue regimes that harbor terrorists.
Those in the Taliban and al-Qaida who once used Afghanistan as their base of operations to disrupt and attack the free people of this world are either destroyed or hiding in caves. The people they oppressed are now free and in control of their own nation.
In Iraq, a dictator who subjected his people to murder, rape and torture now sits in a jail cell awaiting justice. His armies, which once did his biding – waging war on other Middle Eastern nations, threatening their existence with Saddam’s aspirations of annihilation, was an active partner with those who wished to wage terror on us, and even attacked the people within its own borders – now works to defend the peace.
President Bush has not forgotten the horror of that day. He has learned from it and applied those lessons to his administration and through his leadership of this nation.
He has defended us and he has earned my vote for re-election.
