As an Auburn citizen who has attended many City Council meetings, I want Sun Journal readers to know that Councilman Bob Mennealy has discharged his service to the community with their best interests at heart.

Each item before the council is scrutinized for the effects it will have on the welfare of the people of Auburn. This attention to detail has enabled him to ask the tough questions when they need to be asked. His persistence in getting answers or asking for further inquiry into a subject shows that he bases his decisions upon information and not upon prevailing political winds.

His in-depth knowledge of government and its procedures is his foundation for striving to maintain fairness and equity in the political process for everyone. I ask that citizens thank him for his dedication by voting for him again in November.
