AUGUSTA – The Senior Spectrum’s sixth annual Mature Lifestyle Expo will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24 and 25, at the Augusta Civic Center.
More than 100 exhibitors will be represented, ranging from Amtrak Downeaster Passenger Rail to Sparkes Hearing Services. Among the other organizations, businesses and agencies having booths are Maine Veterans’ Services, Kennebec Chocolates and Scotia Prince Cruises.
Exhibitors will offer choices and answers to visitors’ questions regarding health, travel, hobbies and family caregiving, as well as prizes and giveaways. There will also be live entertainment and speaker presentations on topics such as heart disease, financial pitfalls and the value of medicine.
MaineGeneral Health will offer cholesterol, bone density and balance screenings. Staff will demonstrate physical fitness and flexibility exercises people can do in their home. Several other exhibitors will also provide free health screenings.
