I write to encourage readers from Paris, Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner to support Terry Hayes of Buckfield as our representative to the State House.

Terry has chaired the SAD 39 School Board during periods of many challenges. She is raising three teenagers with her husband, Steve. She volunteers tirelessly in the schools, moderates town meetings in Hartford, Sumner and Buckfield, and she has founded and operates her own business, providing guardian-ad-litem services to families and courts in Oxford and Androscoggin counties.

Terry is committed to meaningful tax reform, economic policies that promote business development, and quality education and health care. She is thoughtful and articulate. She will continue the good work of term-limited Rep. Rosita Gagne-Friel, who encouraged Terry to run for her seat.

Terry is one of the most honest and conscientious people I know, and I believe she will be a great representative.
