LEWISTON – Annette P. Ouellette, 89, passed away peacefully on Sept. 20, at d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born Feb. 12, 1915, in Lewiston, the daughter of Lydia and Arthur Pelletier Sr.
She attended Lewiston schools, then worked in Lewiston businesses including Charles Cushman Shoe Shop for 25 years, the Bell Shop and T.J. Murphy Clothing Stores.
On Jan. 21, 1946, she married Robert L. Ouellette. She and “Bobby” enjoyed a 44- year marriage filled with fun, laughter, travel and enduring love. He passed away in May of 1980.
In her long and happy life, she most loved being surrounded by and taking care of her family.
She was a communicant of SS. Peter and Paul Church and a longtime member of the French Choir, always celebrating her Franco-American heritage. She also belonged to the St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, the Robin Dow Society, Les Dames de Ste. Anne and volunteered with the AARP. She enjoyed reading, singing, traveling and she relished a good meal with family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Pelletier, of Lewiston; sister, Dorothy P. Lane, of Falmouth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Arthur Jr., Marcel, Charles and Clement.
She was a generous sister, wife, aunt and friend, who worked tirelessly for others and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
