BURLINGTON, Mass. – Joyce Ann Blanchette, 56, of Minot, died on Sept. 18, at the Lahey Clinic following a courageous battle with liver cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born the daughter of Reginald and Ida (Tuck) Laliberte on Feb. 15, 1948, in Lewiston.
She had most recently worked for Work-Med Occupational Health Services as a billing representative and was previously employed by Bottoms USA, AmCare Medical, Tambrands and Gould and Scammon, respectively.
Along with touching those she encountered with her smiles and winks, her generosity and her sense of humor, she enjoyed cooking and catering to her family and friends. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds, relaxing on her swing, watching her birds, cleaning and decorating and traveling with Omer.
She is survived by her deeply devoted and loving companion, Omer Pomerleau, who’s been by her side for the past 15 years; Omer’s son, Jim and wife, Lisa; daughter, Tammy and husband, William Cavers, of Poland; son, Dean Blanchette, of Portland; grandson, Nathan Cavers; brothers, Paul, Roger, Richard and Robert Laliberte; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Claire DuBois, and her parents.
