FARMINGTON – Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community will offer a 12-week class, titled “Credit When Credit is Due,” from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays starting Sept. 27 and ending Dec. 13, in Farmington. The course is a 12-chapter financial literacy program that can help a participant build or repair their credit and learn about budgeting, credit management, home and car buying, borrowing and bankruptcy. The workshop can be done as self-study or by attending weekly study groups. It is offered in partnership with Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Maine. There is no fee for participants.
