SEBAGO LAKE – Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake will present Shakespeare’s comic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” beginning Friday, Oct. 1. Directed by Jane Bergeron, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be performed October 1-17, at the center’s theater on Route 114, just north of Route 35.

Friday and Saturday performances will be at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances at 2 p.m.

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a magical story of young lovers, mischievous fairies and an inept band of actors who cross paths in the dark woods. It has poetry, music and Shakespeare’s vision of a world of magic gone astray.

“It reminds us of the fairy tales we all read as children,” said Bergeron.
