AUBURN – Irene D. Landry, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 23, at her home.
She was born in Danville, July 20, 1915, the daughter of Willie and Ozeline (Oliver) Binette.
Irene was always known for her outgoing and humorous personality. She was the type of person would take her jacket off her back if you were cold. She was known as the “peppy” old lady that would shovel your driveway before you had even known it had snowed.
Even during her illness she remained a loving and caring person.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Auger; a grandson, TJ Auger; a granddaughter, Amber Auger; one great-granddaughter, Emma Auger; a sister, Laura Michel; and one brother, Leo Binette.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arsene, three sisters, and three brothers.
