PORTLAND – North Carolina-based songwriter and flatpicking guitarist Jonathan Byrd and traditional folk instrumentalists Dromedary will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the Center for Cultural Exchange.

They will feature songs from their recent CD, “The Sea and the Sky.”

Songs from Byrd’s second release, “The Waitress,” won the New Folk competition in Kerrville, Texas. It reached No. 22 on the folkradio.org chart.

The world-music duo known as Dromedary has been has toured the East and West coasts, released two albums and composed music for three films. Tickets, $7, at the door.

Tickets are $7 and will be available at the door.
