RUMFORD – Lorraine M. Gelinsky, 78, wife of James Gelinsky, of 348 Swain Rd., died Friday, Sept. 24, at the Victoria Villa Nursing Home in Canton where she had been a patient for 12 days.

She was born in Rumford, July 30, 1926, the daughter of Paul and Jeannette St. Cyr Belanger, and resided in this community all of her life.

She was a communicant of St. Athanasius, St. John Church and graduated from Stephens High School in the Class of 1947.

She was employed as an operator for the New England Telephone Co. and was a member of the Quilters Club.

She enjoyed golfing, quilting, knitting, dancing and was know for her great sense of humor.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, of Rumford; two sisters, Yvette Capponi and Yvonne Couture, both of Rumford; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dr. and Mrs. Philip Bretz, and their children Christopher and LoriAnn.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Kenny and a sister, Marguerite Gallant.
