• A car driven by Edith Cherkis, 38, of Lewiston, went off Dyer Road about 6 a.m. Saturday and struck a utility pole. Cherkis told police she dropped her cell phone and went off the road while attempting to retrieve it. Damage to her 1994 Ford was estimated at $4,000.

Auburn

• A car driven by Tina L. Madden, 36, of 14 Gendron Circle, Sabattus, skidded off the wet surface of the southbound lane of Washington Street near Phil-O-Mar Street at 10:44 p.m. Saturday, then struck a tree. Damage to her 1999 Volkswagen was estimated at $4,800.

• A 1994 GMC pickup driven by Leo Gray, 79, of 56 Brentwood Drive, Auburn, went through a stop sign on Hardscrabble Road at Washington Street in heavy fog at about 5 a.m. Saturday. The truck crossed both lanes of Washington Street, then ran down an embankment and into a shallow pond, according to police reports. Damage to Gray’s truck was estimated at $7,000.
