LEWISTON – Dr. Nicholette Erickson, medical oncologist and hematologist, will be the speaker at the Wednesday, Sept. 29, meeting of the Central Maine Medical Center Cancer Wellness and Support Group. She will host an open forum to answer questions about cancer, its treatment and nutrition for those with cancer.
Erickson is medical director of Central Maine Medical Center’s Comprehensive Care Program. A graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Mass., she was awarded her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va.
She served a residency in internal medicine at Medical College of Virginia and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, Va. She is board certified in medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Erickson practices in association with medical oncologists Drs. Hans L Boedeker, Yue Guo and Jeffrey M. Miller in Suite 205 in the Twelve High Street Medical Office Complex.
The support group is open to people living with cancer, as well as their spouses/partners, family members and caregivers. The group will meet from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the conference room at the Cynthia A. Rydholm Cancer Treatment Center at CMMC.
