POLAND – An informational meeting on the Nov. 2 bear-baiting referendum will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Poland Regional High School, Robert Wall Auditorium.

Tenley Meara, a citizen representative of Maine’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Council, and Bob Fisk of the Citizens for Fair Bear Hunting will be speaking about Referendum Question No. 2 on the ballot. Sen. Richard Bennett, R-Norway, will moderate the meeting.

Hunters, landowners, citizens and environmentalists are invited to attend. Representatives from Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will be available to answer questions.
