AUBURN – Albert M. “Sonny” Shaw, 86, formerly of 1193 Turner St., Auburn, died Sunday evening, Sept. 26, at Clover Heath Care.

Born March 23, 1918, on Buckfield, the son of Elvin and Jenny Record Shaw, he attended Buckfield schools and graduated from Buckfield High School.

Albert served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Lucille Piper on Nov. 20, 1945, and Lucille died Dec. 24, 2002.

Albert worked for various sales jobs, most recently for Snow’s Tire. He enjoyed collecting stamps, coins and postcards. He also frequented flea markets. Albert loved to watch baseball, especially the Red Sox. Albert enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna R. Shaw, of Scarborough, and Wendy A. Shaw, and her husband, James St. Pierre, of Readfield; four grandchildren, Peter Hinckley, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Brodie Hinckley, of Scarborough, Jamien St. Pierre, of Readfield, and Jaaron Shaw of Readfield.
