LEWISTON – Helen L. (Harkins) Hankins, 69, of Crestview Drive, died Sunday, Sept. 26, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 26, 1935, the daughter of Michael T. and Marjorie (Ham) Harkins.
She worked as a waitress for many years.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
Survivors include her husband, Norman L. Hankins, of Lewiston, whom she married in 1953; two grandsons, Daniel and Jeremy Hankins, of Massachusetts; four sisters, Barbara Connor, and her husband, Eugene, of Poland, Ailine Philbrick, of Portland, Rose Stephenson, and her husband, Dewey, of East Waterboro, and Cecilia Harkins, of Lewiston; one brother, Michael Harkins, and his wife, June, of East Waterboro; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her son, Norman L. Hankins II; her parents; her brother, Daniel J. Harkins; and nephew, Jarod Marchetto.
