LEWISTON – The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a lunch with regional development expert Michael Gallis.

The event will be held at noon Oct. 7 at the Ramada Inn. Cost is $10.

Transportation systems and regional alliances are considered to be essential to the future economic prosperity of the state of Maine. Social, political and economic transformations are taking place across the world and new technologies and scientific advancement are reshaping the global network and world marketplace.

Gallis is a leading authority on large scale regional development. He will provide insight on understanding the forces of change and on recognizing new global patterns. He will then provide suggestions on developing strategies to capture these opportunities.

He has pioneered a specialty in building frameworks through which public, private and institutional leaders can work effectively to create globally competitive regions.
