WALES – Goalkeeper Ashly Mederios punched in a penalty kick in the second half of a girls’ soccer game and turned away nine shots to give Oak Hill 2-0 victory over Lincoln Academy Wednesday.
Andrea Lane scored the first goal of the game off a pass from Dani Potvin for the Raiders (2-8). Cassie Berry made 13 saves for the Eagles (1-9).
Gould 7, Carrabasset Valley 0
BETHEL – Suzi Jump netted a hat trick for Gould Wednesday as it rolled past Carrabasset Valley Academy 7-0 in a girls’ soccer matchup.
Heather Kelleher scored a pair of goals for Gould (1-2), while Carley Rudd and Marina Schachowskoj added single goals to complete the scoring.
Brianna Noyes needed only six saves in net to notch the shutout.
Maranacook 9, MCI 0
READFIELD – Danielle Poulin led all scorers with four goals as Maranacook dominated MCI, posting a 9-0 triumph in soccer action Wednesday.
Allison Meyer started the scoring frenzy at 33:19 into the contest ended up tallying three goals in all. Jackie Mrazik and Toby Martin each chipped in with a goal for the Black Bears (8-0-1).
Emma Prysunka, Shannon Bean, and Collyn Bader were solid on defense. Keeper Melissa Piper needed to make only two saves for the shutout.
Kelly Dodge turned away 23 shots for MCI (2-7-0).
Dirigo 3, Boothbay 0
BOOTHBAY – Brooke Weston notched two goals and an assist to solidify Dirigo’s 3-0 win over Boothbay in a MVC girls’ soccer matchup Wednesday.
Katie Hutchinson and Jenn Harvey recorded the assists for Weston’s goals. Shannon Daley scored for the Cougars. Dirigo dominated the game, outshooting Boothbay 27-4 and posting a 9-1 lead on corners as well.
Christina Chow turned away four saves to preserve the shutout.

Falmouth 2, G-NG 1
GRAY – Emily Bewden netted a pair of goals to lead Falmouth to a 2-1 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in a WMC field hockey matchup Wednesday.
After a scoreless first half, Bewden gave the Yachtsmen two quick goals within a minute’s time.
Riley Hadlock made five saves in net to notch the win. Lindsey Anania helped the Patriots (1-7-1) prevent a shutout with a goal with just 7:25 remaining in regulation. Marsey Pendexter turned away 10 shots in net for Gray.
Poland 2, Sacopee Valley 0
POLAND – Amanda Plummer scored a second-half insurance goal to give Poland a 2-0 win over Sacopee Valley in field hockey action Wednesday afternoon.
Plummer picked the ball up from Amanda Corriveau, who recorded the only assist of the game.
Brittany Copp posted a first-half unassisted goal for the Knights who improved to 3-7. This is the first time in the field hockey program’s six years that three games have been won in one season.
Elsie Cummings stopped six shots for the Knights, while Kristine Thayer made four saves.
Liv. Falls 12, Georges Valley 0
LIVERMORE FALLS – Taryn Flagg was solid on offense with four goals and five assists, pacing Livermore Falls to a 12-0 triumph over Georges Valley in MVC soccer action Wednesday.
Ashley McDaniel opened up the scoring with 26:28 left in the first half. McDaniel, Erica Gats, and Valen Richards combined for eight goals for the Andies (8-2).
Sam Whiting turned away four shots for the victory, while Karrie Sirois made 11 saves for the winless Buccaneers (0-10).
Gould 3, Hebron 2
BETHEL – Shannon Littlefield scored the game-winning goal in the second half of the contest to lift Gould to a 3-2 victory over Hebron Wednesday.
Hillary Hough scored the first goal for the Huskies (1-2) in the first half of the game. The Hebron effort was led by goals from Megan Irving and KJ Forand.
Dirigo 1, Mountain Valley 0
DIXFIELD — Holly Knight scored game-winning in overtime as Dirigo enjoyed a 1-0 triumphant over Mountain Valley in field hockey action Wednesday.
Knight’s goal provided the Cougars with their first win of the season as they improved to 1-7. Dirigo goalkeeper Dani Thomkins had an impressive game, recording 24 saves on exactly 24 shots for her first-ever shutout.
Kim Clark was solid in net for the Falcons, who fall to 2-6 with the loss.
St. Dom’s 2, Traip 0
KITTERY – Elicia Dorso recorded a pair of goals to give St. Dom’s a 2-0 victory over Traip in a WMC field hockey contest Wednesday. Kayla McKay and Becky Lewis contributed with assists for the Saints (9-1), while Elizabeth Bennett made nary a save in net to notch her seventh shutout of the season.
Brianna Gamester handled netminding duties for the Rangers (3-7), turning away 16 shots.
Winthrop 2, Lisbon 1
WINTHROP — Sarah Cook scored both goals for Winthrop as the Ramblers defeated Lisbon 2-1 in a varsity field hockey matchup Wednesday.
Nicole Emery notched an assist on each of Cook’s goals to help lift the Ramblers (8-0-1) to their eighth win.
Emily Poliquin scored an unassisted goal in the first half to keep the Greyhounds (7-3) from getting shut out.
Boothbay 2, Jay 1
JAY — Nicole Williams scored two goals to lead Boothbay to a 2-1 defeat over Jay in field hockey play Wednesday. Kaley Demillo had a solid game in the net for Boothbay, tallying seven saves on 13 shots. Goalkeeper Lynette Adams put up a valiant fight, recording eight saves on 13 shots.
Leavitt 5, Oak Hill 1
WALES – Lauren Doiron scored a pair of goals to lead Leavitt to a 5-1 win over Oak Hill in another KVAC field hockey matchup Wednesday. Kate Bochtler, Jessica Paladino and Katelyn Beeckel also added goals for the Hornets (4-5) to complete the scoring. Jessica Vickerson needed only four saves in net to notch the win.
Audrey Grass scored the lone goal for the Raiders (0-8), while Frankie Curtis turned away an impressive 19 shots.
