BETHEL – Ross Parker planted three unassisted goals into the back of the net in the first 17 minutes of play to propel Telstar to a 3-0 victory over Jay in a MVC boys’ soccer matchup Wednesday afternoon.

Terry Collins handled netminding duties for the Rebels (5-2-1), making four saves to notch the shutout.

Goalie Shane Bourgault turned away 11 shots fired in his direction for the Tigers.

Carrabec 5, Mountain Valley 3

NORTH ANSON – Jason Cummings led all scorers with three goals as Carrabec slipped past Mountain Valley with a 5-3 victory Wednesday afternoon.

Sam Shaw chipped in with two goals and two assists for the Cobras’ (6-3) win.

The Falcons (3-4-2) were paced by Jon Gamble, Byron Gloss and Craig Hamann, who each scored a goal a piece.

Mt. Abram 4, Dirigo 1

SALEM – Aaron Adams tallied a pair of goals and had an assist to pace undefeated Mt. Abram to a 4-1 win over Dirigo Wednesday.

Sam Witherspoon added a goal and an assist, while Rusty Goodwin scored for the Roadrunners (9-0).

The lone goal for the Cougars (2-6-1) was scored unassisted by Matt Chamberlain.

Lincoln 2, Oak Hill 1

LINCOLN – Shawn Elwell scored an unassisted goal with 15 minutes left in regulation to lift Lincoln to a 2-1 victory over Oak Hill in a KVAC boys’ soccer matchup Wednesday.

David Thorpe was credited with the first goal for the Eagles (5-4), but it actually deflected off an Oak Hill player and rolled into the net. Josh Peaslee made 15 saves in net while earning the win.

Luther Schalk netted the Raiders’ (1-9-1) lone goal with an assist from Jeremy Levesque. John Daggett handled netminding duties, turning away 14 of 16 shots.

Wiscasset 5, Lisbon 1

WISCASSET – Matt Hinkley netted a pair of goals to power Wiscasset to a 5-0 victory over Lisbon in more MVC boys’ soccer action Wednesday.

Justin Kramerly, Craig Zeigler and a foreign exchange student known as “Naoto” also tallied goals for the Redskins to complete the scoring. Zack Hartman needed only four saves in net to notch the win.

Nate Osmond recorded the Greyhounds’ (0-8-1) lone goal with an unassisted effort in the first half.

Mike Wilkins was kept hopping in net all day, turning away 20 shots.
