PORTLAND – Paul B. McKeen, 70, of McKeen Way, East Wilton, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Maine Medical Center, Portland, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Lewiston on July 30, 1934, a son of Donald W. and Arlene Bishop McKeen.

He was educated in Wilton schools, and was a graduate of Wilton Academy and M.C.I.

He served two years in the United States Army with the 107th Signal Company as a radio operator.

He married Janice Medeiros on Sept. 5, 1959, in Weld.

He was employed for 39 years with the Department of Transportation, and retired as supervisor in 1993. Since his retirement, right up until his death, he was Franklin County Road Agent.

He was a member of King Hiram Lodge of Masons #57 A.F. & A.M. in Dixfield.

He enjoyed working in his workshop, making maple syrup in his sap house. He also enjoyed plowing driveways in the winter, watching football, baseball and basketball.

Besides his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a daughter, Barbara L. McKeen of East Wilton; and a son, Donald B. McKeen and his wife, Roseanne, of Dixfield; two cousins, Mary Brougham and Ernest Brown; an aunt, Grace Glover; and two grandchildren, Lindsay McKeen and Colette McKeen.
