Another day, another scare tactic about the tax cap.

What the state and local governments don’t get is if you’re having trouble meeting budgets, you cut first and stop unnecessary spending. The state spent thousands of dollars for changing highway signs. My town spends a million dollars on an over staffed police force. They got a Harley, SUV and a four-wheeler. Two grand in bicycles. What’s next, a helicopter and a snowmobile?

What the people are forgetting, we just passed the 55 percent funding for schools. The first thing the governor does is says he’ll tinker with it, not that he would do what people wanted. He’ll do the same when the cap passes because state and local officials don’t want to stop taking from the bottomless pit of our wallets.
