LEWISTON – Albertine Bea Grivois McCann, 93, of 65 Summit St., Lewiston, passed away Sept. 30, at d’Youville Pavilion.

Born in Van Buren, the oldest of 12 children to Napoleon and Josephine Parent Grivois, she was educated in Van Buren and in Waterville.

She moved to Lewiston in 1932, and married John V. McCann in 1936. They were married for 61 years before he passed away in 1997.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the Rosary Sodality.

She is survived by a son, Francois T., and wife, Dee McCann, of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Joyce McCann, of Lewiston; five sisters, Edwina, and her husband, John Mayo, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Anita, and husband, Sylvio Royer, of Auburn, Jackie, and husband, Fern Bussiere, of Auburn, Pauline, and husband, Reginald Aubut, of Auburn, Therese, and husband, Lafrance, of Lewiston; two brothers, Napoleon, and wife, Gert Grivois, of Lewiston, and Leo Grivois, of Lewiston; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by four sisters, Annette Pelletier, of Glendale, Calif., Agnes Grivois, of Auburn, Anne Lachance, of Auburn, and Catherine “Kitty” St. Pierre, of Auburn.
